I find that hard to believe. I'm pretty sure I've answered it in at least a dozen threads.
However, to complete my helpfulness for you:
Start with APC and a utility cloth. If that doesn't work, use #0000 steel wool and APC to break up the baked on soot.
Finish with metal polish to restore shine when needed.
If you clean your tips with regular soap and water at each washing, you'll never have an issue. It's only those that neglect regular cleaning that have problems like this.
