This was my first and biggest complaint about this car too! I am not exactly tall (5'6"), so the visor would've really been helpful on the side... and for all of the people saying "wear sunglasses"... I always do when I'm driving, but they don't help much when the sun is coming in from the side of your face

That was my thought (about the percentage), but not so sure if it's government regulated.

What were we thinking?

Well -- there's this Motor Vehicle Safety Standard -- (I believe it's MVSS 2006) -- that, in essence, is a head impact standard. It's quite complicated, but suffice to say that if you put a really big sunvisor in the car, it COULD cause injury under certain circumstances.

As to the lighted vanity mirror -- we originally planned for it....but now that we have a mirror that had to be designed to pass this standard, there is no light.
Thanks

That's an interesting thought... It does seem to line up perfectly... although I feel like the visor on my Fusion is huge, and at times can cover up way too much of the windshield, depending on the angle it's down... so I'm not sure if it is any sort of standard. But my absolutely favorite thing about that car... when you put the visor to the side, you can "slide" it out to extend it... it's incredible! I wish the Camaro had that at least, because the current visor barely even touches the side window when used... just the very corner of it does... it lame.
