A broken back, two broken wrists, a broken ankle, and a concussion...
Just a little sore in the morning..lol..
The guy was lucky. Since we don't have any more info on that crash, or how fast he was going.etc.. It would be nice to know how has in order to compare it with the 40mph crash test dummy results.

Okay, I almost belive that.
1992 camaro: with 1 airbag
Head Injury Criterion 585 583
Chest deceleration (g's) 39 42
Femur load l/r1 (lb) 717 / 627 150 / 174
2010 camaro: with 6 airbags
Head Injury Criterion 661 626
Chest deceleration (g's) 53 49
Femur load l/r1 (lb) 908 / 866 280 / 390
Really Im at a higher risk for head injuries in a 2010?? really??
Is that even possible?

Yes you are. This is why I foresee insurance rates going up the moment they get their hands on this. The troubling thing is GM had to have tested a dozen or more of these vehicles and known that such a poor test result was pending. What is strange is that Fbodfather kept telling us the car would get great safety ratings. Perhaps that is what he was being told but someone must have known and either kept quiet.. I don't know, it is all speculation at this point and perhaps we will never know why or what happened in this case. It is just interesting to point out that the older 1992 Camaro with 1 airbag is a lot safer in a frontal 40 mph crash than the 2010 camaro is with 6. However I do have to point out I think the 2010 Camaro can take on a Honda Fit and any other smart car with a 5 star rating and eat it alive..lol..
Combining the threads sure makes things confusing...lol..

Not if you compare it to the 1992 Camaro and above.
I still do not feel 100% safe in my new Camaro not because of the 4 star rating but because I still do not know if my car is affected by the tremec broken tail shaft issue. So I haven't pushed my car yet with launch control or taken it to the track. I don't understand why when I call GM, they keep telling me to call back in a week and still have no info. This to me could be dangerous as a shaft breaking under heavy load can randomly decide to snap in the wrong direction and hurt the driver or passenger. Once I get an OK from GM, then I take it to the track..
