Cars made in the 21st century are by and large quite quiet overall. However I am amazed by a group of people- the folks here at C5 for example- that routinely insist that a Camaro is a "sports car", and yet at the same time think the car is "noisy". 5Gen isn't "noisy". We have been spoiled by lower-priced cars entering the "affordable luxury" market, in which the cars feature lots of sound deadening to justify the manufacturer's insistence that the car is a 'luxury' car. We seem to expect the round-peg Camaro to fit the square-hole niche.
Chris Blair,

Your comments about tires and luxury cars does not hold true, my 2006 F-350 Diesel has 120,000 miles with 36" off road tires has a quieter ride at 70mph than my 2013 Camaro that has 4,000 miles.....I think Chevy overlooked this issue and you people that say it's not noisy have not experienced a car that is quiet....I paid $42,000 for my car, I think GM could do better for the money.
