I'm not sure I agree with that since making a brand new car look good and keeping a 40-100 year old car looking good are a bit different.
but even if I did, what you think looks good and what the judges think looks good might differ. If you go to car shows solely to win a plastic trophy or a cheap ribbon, you've kinda missed the point.
