The tires are a little wider and fill up the fender more than stock, the look I assume you are trying to achive. The 315s will stick out a little on the bottom of the 1/4 panel. The tires fit, not 100% sure if they will rub the fender with lowering springs. Some here do run that setup. It will give more understeer than the stock setup. And as mentioned you may lose a tiny bit of steering response with the 295s up front. But the Z/28 does fine with 305s up front. To get better steering response there are a few front bushings you can replace to improve response over the stock 1LE with either tire. But that doesnt sound like a priority for you.
Spacers are just a bad idea, unless car shows are your only destination IMO. It sounds like you have already decided to do this. It's your car.
