Please read page 10. This is all that matters as this is the warranty manual itself. Not the owners manual, not a salesman, not an engineer. There are no specific clauses or addendums for the Z/28 or ZL1 either.
The warranty does not cover damage due to "misuse of the vehicle due to driving over curbs, overloading,
racing, or other competition use." In plain English.
However, I'm certain the dealers have the latitude to be generous on certain models if they choose. Which I hope is the case for OP.
