And actually let me clarify it didnt actually fry the engine but all the seals were shot , it burned a quart of oil like every 300 miles or something like that this was like 15 years ago . It was so bad that it was time to let it go . But the whole moral of this story is the OP will have a very hard time proving that it was the dealers fault , as least thats the way it went with Walmart they Lawyered up and it would of been way too much of a pain in the ass to try to recoup what had been done .

Hmm, maybe its something with the design of the Durango's valve covers or oil cap, I just don't see a GM small block splashing that much oil out a 1 1/2" hole.

Surely that put off a heck of a burnt oil smell over those 600 miles?
