Right about here is where I figure the nannies are a mixed bag.

Yes, they can save you in certain situations where you wouldn't be able to do so on your own.

But they can also teach you that (most of the time) you can get away with being less delicate on the throttle than you should be. Not a good thing in my book.

A wet track day is probably not a good place for a tune with aggressive tip-in response or a Vitesse throttle controller set to be any more responsive than stock.
