Well since in installed mine I love it. Big problem and why I won't buy a Hurst product again was when shifter came in was very excited to install it. The directions were easy and straight forward. The shifter wouldnt set properly on the plate....I only bought the shifter not the plate. I had that thing off 20 times trying to figure wtf was going on. It would clip in but wouldnt shift. After a couple of hours I was pissed and tired. The next day my buddy that drives a 5.0 came by....he likes to tinker with things. So I had him try to install it.....same thing. So he grabbed a screwdriver and removed the screws exposing the plastic inner workings of the shifter. He left the plates off and tried again to install....we could get a real good look as to what was happening. After a couple if minutes playing with it we could see the plastic engage clip was not engaging the trans shaft because it was installed backwards. We simply removed it and spun it around....tried again and bingo perfect engagement. Never had a problem since. When I contacted Hurst about my situation....I was thinking maybe the had a few complaints about it, I was basically told to bad sorry about your luck. My buddy who was there was on the verge of getting a Hurst shifter for his car.But because of how the resonated to me he bought a different kind...maybe Rousch or something. Good product when assembled tight but terrible customer service
