The new M3 pulls ~.95gs on the skidpad, The Camaro can pull .92...pretty darn close if you ask me, especially for a 20 grand difference in price. If you do something about that understeer, this car is more than ready to kick a LOT of car's a$$es.
EDIT: I can only find numbers on the 911 Carrera S, but even that is .97g. I suppose this discussion is stock for stock...but if you call Pedders or Pfadt, you can have a 1.00+g Camaro that handles like a miracle on wheels for ~$3000.
