Well it looks like this might not be a DIY after all. I reviewed the install instructions and it states that the radio needs to be programmed by a Service Programming System (SPS-TIS2WEB or equivalent).

18. Perform a PDIM calibration upgrade. This will ensure the PDIM has the latest level of software available.
Based on the PDIM Software Update thread, not all dealers know how to do this :(

I'm going to install and see what happens when I power it up.
