The benefit of an LS7 would be most noticed around the track....if coupled with the 1LE suspension. What it allows them to do is add 80hp and a higher redline (for racing), without effecting an
ounce of weight or weight balance. While it's larger displacement, all small-blocks are the same physical size (comparing car-to-car, and no sueprcharger
).
I'm sure it'd cut off half a second or so at the drag strip, too.
