This is a valid point. And the 1LE will not be any faster than an SS at the strip, still a driver's race. The 1LE will only be faster at the road course. Secondly, the higher final drive ration will also decrease fuel economy. The axles will still probably be weak for performance mods. Gears are like $600, so the gears and suspension puts you at 2600, not 3500 yet.
