If anyone needs a new rack here's the seller from eBay. New, no warranty, but you can buy Allstate 1 year. It was 1060 to my door compared to 2000-2300

Got the rack put, and my oh my. Steering is superrrrr light. Even lighter than before. I guess part of my header was hitting the steering rack, which couldn't be seen from above.

Props to Koza.

My header hits the steering shaft at the u-joint/boot.

No codes, which was weird. The "service power steering didn't even come up. I did put the eps ground on the panel referenced in the pic. When the eps did act up, there was a fair amount of rain. Could be water intrusion?... maybe? Once I parked the car for 10-15 minutes and everything was dry, everything was back to normal.

I just moved the ground back to the post where the CAI usually sits. Hopefully that resolves it.

I guess that's where it was hitting/running as well.

Did you check for codes or just going by no message/warning? It might have stored a code without triggering anything.

No. Didn't check for codes. Just no message warning. If there was a stored code, would that trigger the message?

Codes don't always trigger lights/warning. They are sometimes set up to need more than one occurrence to trigger or to not trigger at all. I would expect steering issues to trigger first time, but it's not impossible that its set up differently.
