Kind of an old trick used to catch people with outstanding warrants. I saw one time they pretended to be a radio station that was giving away SuperBowl tickets. Surprising how many crooks thought they were winners.

Yea I've seen many variations on this trick from cars to cash to even spa resorts for the women. I've even seen the Publishers Clearing House trick where a couple undercover officers will walk up to the door with a giant check for 10 million dollars, accidentally forget the paperwork and ask them if they would come with them to the "office" to sign the paperwork.

We did that here in Detroit advertising free hot chips, Faygo and gas cards and frre flat screen TV's....to make it look legit, we got a Best Buy truck to park in front of the auditorium.
