Fuel pump?
So I am ordering the parts I want for a tune. I have a intake, adding a 2.5 upper pulley and 1000cc injectors(room for E85 later). A Friends of mine was asking if i was upgrading the fuel pump also, but i havn't really seen anyone talking about doing that. Is there a real need to upgrade our fuel pumps?

E85 has to use a larger amount of fuel than regular pump gas to make the same power, something like 30%. A basic fuel system that can make 650 whp on 93 pump may not be able to flow enough to make 650 whp on e85. Twin pumps is usually always required when converting to e85 and make sure to up size injectors properly as well.

Fuel pump?
I just made the call to my shop yesterday to upgrade my fuel system. I'll be doing the Squash system and the E85 Flex Fuel conversion to mine. I've already got ID850 injectors and I am pushing over 650 rwhp and my stock system is maxed, so it's time to upgrade.

What injectors are you planning on using for E85?

The ID850's I already have installed will handle the job. |

I have ID 850's and my tuner don't think they will handle an E85 upgrade. I was going to go with the DSX tuning mod and run the flex fuel tune. I was going to have to upgrade the fuel pump and the injectors and decided I did not want to go that route...I am just going to run Methanol so I don't need more pump and its easier to get then E85 around here. Also helps with the IAT's and Octane rating for detonation.

Is that on 93 or e85? Any idea of fuel pressure and duty cycle to make that hp on the 850s?

Fuel pump?
If you plan to go E85 you need to upgrade fuel pump as already mentioned. Squash and Fore are the most popular.
I went with a Fore 400/265 dual setup. The 850cc injectors should suffice.

Im still very new to this V8 thing, how much difference would a BAP make, or is it best just to jump right to bigger/dual pumps?
