Wulf's MRT V1X2 mod

As you may know, I have had the MRT V1 axle back exhaust for a while now. I've been very happy with the performance of the system... with one exception. As the engine climbs through the rev range, there is a "burble" between 3-4K RPM. My experience tells me that this indicates an issue with back pressure. I have found a cure. Total cost $210 parts and labor.

I replaced the stock resonators...

with a second set of AR25s (hence the "X2" added to the title). See below:

Now comes the interesting part. When we started the car after the installation, it was running like dog poop! I thought "Oh great! This suxs!" Here's a vid of that moment..

I decided to go ahead and give the system a little time so I drove it around on a few errands in town. After about 70 miles and 7-8 key cycles (and 4 passes at the track last night), it's better than ever! Check this out:

The tone is a bit more mellow and the drone under load is mostly still there but moved up in the rev range. Up above where you run during "normal" driving. You can still "growl" at passing Crustangs but it's quiet in the neighborhood! Just what I was hoping for!

I do believe the ECU takes a bit of driving between mods to get "acclimate" to the changes. I believe this mod shows that as a fact very clearly.

Here's the track video:

Here's a little "in cockpit" vid I took coming home from the track. If you can keep your foot out of the gas, it's as quiet as the OEM exhaust. As you can see, I have a problem with that!

(To be added when upload in HD is completed )

I also did some data logging but I'm still reviewing the data and trying to get it posted as "useful" data. More to follow.

You linked to the same vid twice, and I don't see the in cabin or track vid. Might be my browser..I look again.

Ops... fixed it. The other 2 vids are still uploading... I'll put them in as soon as they're done and processed by YouTube.

The track run is available but they are still processing it so it's in "letterbox" ATM.

Just watched the track video. Sounds good. Any change in 1/4 mile time (for better or worse)?

Pretty good for the conditions. DA about 250-350, temps 65F, had 3/4 tank of 89 octane it it so, 14.30@ 97.xx isn't too bad.
