POLL: What size Exhaust tips would you like 4" OD or 3 1/2" OD ?

This is for the Axle-Back Exhaust kit that MRT is making. Like the one Scrming has.

I spoke to Dave @ MRT and he agreed with me & said 4" tips would look better than 3 1/2" ... The 4" tips fills the 5+" Hole better ( all other mods have 4")..... He is working on that. .. I said I would make a poll about the tips, he said that would be good.

So please VOTE.....Use the Poll...

Ok... i'm just thinking out loud here... how much extra would you be willing to pay for 4 inch tips vs 3.5 inch tips... The MSRP of $499 (but the limited intro pricing is going to be $439) is based on the 3.5 inch tips.... This is just ME thinking... I have no idea what tips costs... but logically 4 inch tips have more material than 3.5 inch tips... so logically they should cost more... now that may or may not be the case.. So I guess I wouldn't be surprised if there was a price adjustment for 4 inch tips... just wanted to put that out there...

I would have trouble responding without knowing if the tip size had an effect on the sound. I've heard is said that 4" tips could cause a megaphone effect.

Yes there should be a small difference in cost for the 4" tips over the 3 1/2"

That was just a random thought I had posted when some one was talking about drone... then it was pointed out that the 4 inch tips being used were double walled and that the actual inside of the 4 inch tip was pretty close to the 3.5 single wall tip so there really should be no difference in sound...

Personally I'm fine with the 3.5 inch... I of course I did not vote...
