Can someone please answer?

My Zl1 is at 2030 right now and I am very concerned with my order. I have the Exposed CF hood insert ordered, and it looks like I'll have to change that. If I DO NOT, will I lose my allocation? Will the car be made as a 2013 MY? What else would happen?

When your allocation gets picked up your dealer will give you the option to drop the CF insert option or wait out the constraint. I suspect GM is having PPAP problems with initial sample parts. It is possible that they may not offer it for 2012. Time will tell. I'm sure they will communicate once they have some concrete direction mapped out.

Your dealer should call you if the time comes where it's still not available and your car is just about ready for production.

Allocations are between GM and the dealership. The dealership must use the allocation within a certain time period or they may lose it - especially on a car for which there is more demand than availability.

My recommendation is to either build a car according to what Chevrolet is stating is currently available or pass the allocation on and wait until what you want comes off of constraint.
