Camaro V6?

Hey guys does anyone else think that the camaro V6 should have been given at least 350hp and maybe 310lb ft. I only ask because the 0-60 in 6 sec is really not that impressive when u look at some other cars out there. I am not hating either. Love the car in both iterations, just posing a question.

what if you want the 0-60 but can't afford the V8. I mean the z will eat up the v6 and the evo etc etc. are you saying for 46 more hp and 38 more lb feet the cars price would have to go up. I mean I have a cobalt SS/SC and i best that 6 sec. And yes I bought it for the 0-60. Crap the guy who owns a cobalt SS/TC will eat the V6 for lunch too.

5.9seconds is most likely what the 0-60 will be...and that's not that bad. Check out the other cars in it's price-point...

I think we're just all spoiled with 400, 500, and 600 hp cars and their accompanying specs.

300hp for $23,000 is unprecedented. 300hp in a BASE car is unprecedented...and it's their most powerful V6, so if you want more, you're gonna have to make it yourself.

Hey who wouldn't like more power? It shouldn't be too hard to hit 350 with a few relatively simple mods. To come with that much power from the factory would put it uncomfortably close to the SS. If I end up with the V6, I'll certainly be shooting for at least 350.

Actually, I think there are a lot of people who would be uncomfortable driving a car with that much power.

you really don't think the Cobalt SS/TC could take it???

With its balanced tuning, the Cobalt SS delivers a quick 0-60 time of approximately 5.7 seconds – thanks to the manual transmission’s “no-lift shift” feature – and a sports car-like maximum lateral grip of 0.9 g. This combination enabled the Cobalt SS to set a new class record while circulating the famed Nürburgring racing circuit, posting a time of 8:22.85 minutes.

Personally....I think it'll be a drivers race between the two with an advantage to the Cobalt....but what do I know.

It's just fine where it is. If you want more, make it or get a V8.

The Cobalt SS will beat the Camaro V6 stock vs stock in a straight line, but not by much.... However don't let that dissuade you from buying the Camaro as it is in the looks dept. that it is worth every penny if money is a concern.. Your V6 Camaro will turn more heads than any Cobalt...So is a 5.7 second vs 5.9 second time worth getting one over the other.??? I would still choose the Camaro just for the looks in that case..
