So I've not even done 1,000 miles in my Camaro yet, and I just got pulled over for speeding by a cop. First time in three years.

He went through the motions, and then turned out to be the nicest cop I have met in the ten years I've lived in America. We had a chat, he let me off with a warning, and then told me I had a wonderful car that looked 'beautiful.' Then he shook my hand and let me go.

On that same trip I was told by a toll booth operator that my car looked 'amazing; like one from the late 60s only better.'

These cars certainly get some positive attention!

I know what you mean.I have had mine since last October and every time that I get in it I want to put my foot in it! I do however show restraint as much as possible as I don't need the hassle of tickets and increased insurance rates.That being said,I do get on it here and there-but my day might come again also.Just got do it once in awhile!!!!

My husband and I went looking for handguns this afternoon. I had on my pink Camaro Gril tee-shirt. Clerk asks me if I know of anyone that has a new Camaro. I say tht I save one. He immediately says, Automatic, huh? I replied, NO, 2SS/RS loaded M6.... Can I drive it he says?!?! I think we all no the answer to that question, now don't we...

He said the Camaro was definitely worth the wait.. Oh boy, was he ever right!!

If that answer is no, then at least I do! I've been asked several times and then one person said "can I ride in it". It was like they just asked the magic question!

Caniac fan,

People assume my wife's SS ia an automatic too, but the M6 definately gives street cred to ladies. Girls can give it hell too. She used to drive my S2000 like it was stolen.

Hey, where was he from. I know alot of girls that drive a stick better than most men I know. Most of them have more B%$LS than the guys, they have an easier time talking themselves out of tickets, go figure!!!!!

I got pulled over on a weekend trip about a month ago who turned out to be a big muscle car fan and is looking to get a 5th gen for him and his wife. I am glad there are still good muscle car fans that are cops.

Ah, this thread is a pleasant surprise. When I saw the title, I thought here's another "I got pulled over today and the cop gave me a ticket because I was speeding" thread. I can't stand those threads.....it's their own fault for speeding, lol. This thread just shows that cops can be cool too.

Funny you mention this.I stopped at a garage sale while out tooling around in my camaro last Saturday.I got ready to leave and this gentleman walked half way too my car and asked me if I would mind taking his mom for a ride and that it would really make her day and that no way would she ask me.I said sure.So low and behold here she comes lickety split.Jumps in like a school girl going out for a date.All smiles.Well we were on a good stretch of road &in a low traffic area with a nice straight away for a mile and a half with a nice s curve and another straight away leading to a major road.She asked me so many questions about the car.Engine,interior,how fast it would go et'c.She rubbed the seats and the door panels,and kept stating how nice everything was.Well I proceeded to give her what appeared to be the ride of her life by her expressions.She was so grateful that I did this for her in total awe of the car.The kicker is her son appeared to be around 53 or so.So you know where that placed her!Made me feel real good that a person of her age could appreciate a car that much.

My step dad bought an Expedition (unfortunately) couple days ago and he called me to come check it out so I went to the ford dealership and I parked my car in front of the new mustang's and as soon as I got out my car there's this sale man approached me and said " OOHH MYY GGGOOOD you have a BEEAUUTIFUULL car sir! and he's like I know I work for ford but I would totally get the camaro than the mustang any day!" and that's from a FORD sales man lol

Camaro's are so awesome! Lol
