Cold Air Intake (Noob Alert)
Ok, ok, so I know I am probably going to get hassled starting a topic on this but this is the first car I own where I actually want to mod it and enhance all different aspects for the car. I don't really know much when it comes to performance parts on a vehicle so I need a little help. Here is the low down.
I have a 2011 V6 RS Camaro, and would like to add a CAI. I am wondering what brands are the best to go with and who/where I should order from. I am basically clueless for all of this so I thought some of you could help me. I don't plan on doing TOO much to the performance since it is only a V6 but figured CAI wouldn't be bad. So if someone could point me in the direction of where to go and whats good, and the best bang for my buck. I appreciate all input and feeback! Thanks everyone. |

I have injen as well. The install is kind of a pain in the butt, but in the end, its all worth it.

Here is the Roto-fab intake in the Victory Red. Our system performs very well and is extremely easy to install. There is no relocating components or modifications to your vehicle whatsoever.
Not only will you feel a difference, but it sounds great. You will have a powerful sound under acceleration; however, during normal cruising conditions it sounds very comparable to stock. In addition, it's a nice looking system with color options as well as a dry filter option. The Roto-fab intake for the V6 hasn't been on the market nearly as long as some others, but you will find the people that have our intake are very pleased with the system. We are a very reputable company that is just as happy to talk to you after the purchase as before. Here is a link to learn more about our system. Also, you will also find a youtube video of our intake on this thread. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98400

Thanks for the write-up roto-fab 1. Looks pretty sweet. You're site says 329.00$? Was looking at more in the 150.00$ range if there is any good product out in that price range

$150 range, you might want to look for the SLP BLackwing. Replaces the tube and filter, retains the factory box, but has shown to provide solid gains.
Everything else is going to be $250 and higher. |

Actually, Spectre has one in Jegs for the v6 for $198. Not saying I'd go for it, but it's there.
I'd probably go with the blackwing and IAT relocation mod along with modding the original box if I was on a tight budget. Depends on your budget and wrenching experience(although it really isn't that difficult). |
