I haven't heard a whole lot of positives with the Pirelli P-Zeros. nor have I had a great experience with them. They are not real sticky in the corners or on wet pavement and most of all they heat up real quick and become real slick. I know people have lots of issues with them on the track including myself. What are some of your opinions on what you would have liked to have seen Chevy put on the SS or do you prefer the Pirellis?
Personally, I would have liked the Goodyear Eagle F1's, which I believe that was what the concept had. I'm quite certain I won't go back to the Pirellis when they wear off, possibly Goodyears or Nittos. I know I see alot of folks with Nittos on the site. What are your thoughts?

well I guess it's all in perspective. Because to me, I fee like I just can't lose control with these tires. It takes quite the turn to even make stabilitrack kick in. Grant it, I haven't driven w/o stabilitrack or traction control because I haven't tried taking it to the track yet. So I guess what I'm saying is for an average joe, these tires are great

Really? the only complaints I've seen about the p-zero's are that they are a summer tire and they don't last that long. They are sticky (the reason they don't last long) and I think they handle great. I've only driven my car in the rain once, but I was surprised how well it handled.

I am replacing mine Monday and I have 26k on mine (mostly highway miles) and they are very good in the dry and cornering. Not so good in the wet obviously. I wanted to replace with Nitto Invo but they are on national backorder. Thought seriously about the Conti DWS but decided to go with the P Zero's one more time (cheaper and I will replace with Nitto's next year).

OP, I don't know about you but I think the Pzeros are great tires, with really a great grip. But given the time they decide to wear out, I won't be going back with them, instead I'll be going with Pirelli Scorpions. I might be going with those but the tires on the car stock are great to me,....as someone else said, it's nearly impossible to lose control of this thing.
My car drives great in the rain,....that's what impressed me the most. I've driven in other cars in rain and to my amazement none had a smoother ride than this Camaro. I even foolishly push the car to 90mph in pretty constant rain and the car remained stable and smooth. That to me, tells me these tires are doing they're job, and not to mention they're summer tires. And I've also had no traction problems during winter.........

Given that right now they're....about $200 a pop? Compared to 300-400 for other tires that won't last much longer...I'm okay with this choice for factory tires.

Camaro should have come with 10.0 wide rear wheels, instead of the puny 9.0 wide wheels. That is my biggest gripe, not the tire brand. Especially when an 11.0 wide wheel fits perfectly. On the 4th gen SS, those even came with 9.0 front/rear. Our 5th gens get silly 8.0 fronts.
