Domestic Content

So a discussion in another thread has brought me to ask this question from anyone who knows; how much of the new Camaro would be considered "domestic content"?

The engines, the auto-trannys are American
Assembly is Canadian...

I, personally, consider all three "domestic". But I know it'll list the powertrain as American.

Just a fact of the times. There are a lot of USA jobs involved that's good enough for me. And of course the powertrain. As to why it's not being made at one of the plants GM is closing. Well.. that's a whole long sad story somewhere along the long and dusty road.

'Domestic' includes Canada and United States, probably Mexico too. Thats why the term is used instead of American.
