February it is.

here in roughly a week we've been told that we will be getting some info about our beloved camaro.
we dont know what info we'll see, but we are all hoping for powertrain options over bout everything else. and we also know the production car will be on display in Indiana in september. with supposedly all engine/powertrain/trim options that will be offered for the initial launch. well, after reading the following post by scott that was pointed towards someone saying that the camaro is dead, tells me i will be getting a camaro for my birthday (feb 10th).

the post:

First -- it isn't only GM that's in trouble -- Ford and Chrysler are in just as much trouble as GM -- perhaps more. There are also foreign brands that are on the skids -- take a look at Mitsu.........

Where did you get the figures to declare that the Camaro is a 'gas guzzling muscle car" -- ???

I'd submit that you aren't really sure of what you're talking about -- what is it, by the way, that you do for a living???

As to saying "I told you so" -- when I left the RenCen this evening -- we were still in business - and we're still on track to deliver the best Camaro ever.................

.............................so -- let me allow you to put your order in now: what is it that you'd like served with your words in February?????

I'll have to wait a couple of years, but no worries, my dad's friend has a 2007 Saleen S281 SuperCharged Convertible (I think, all Saleen's look the same to me) an old Olds 442 convertible, and he'll definetly get a Camaro, so maybe I can do some stuff for him, and in turn he'll let me take a spin in his Camaro.

Just don't anyone go screaming foul IF the Camaro doesn't come out in Feb.

February is the middle of the First quarter, and therefore a nice estimate to give for when it'll be out, so he may have been using it in that context. (It could be January for all we know)

You won't hear a thing from us convertible people. Our females are hotter anyways.

would you stop contradicting me... lol

maybe thats the earliest that you can get one special order...

all i know is i want one for my birthday... or as a wedding present the following month

but on the note of february... look at the challenger. it has been officially released right? how many people can go to their local chrysler dealership and test drive one right now? maybe february is the projected date to have dealerships stocked full

Feb 1st is my birthday, but the earlier this thing comes out just means the longer I'll have to wait while watching all the lucky ones out there driving around with their Camaros.

The key is to get it far enough in advance of the wedding so it can be broken in in preparation of the massive burnout you'll be expected to do whilst leaving the reception.
