X-pipe with stock muffler on L99?

Has anyone removed the resonator only on an L99 exhaust? I'm wondering how this would sound as compared to a muffler delete. I've heard the DELETE on an M6 and although I like the sound under acceleration, the decel popping is not for me.

Someone must have tried this ?
