Edelbrock X Pipe Install L99 SS/RS

I just finished having the Edelbrock 6716 X pipe installed on my car. I installed Kooks 1 7/8s inch headers and their HF cats as well and I really wanted a deeper sound. I am using the OEM muffler and from what I've seen and heard on this forum and YouTube, the X pipe would give me exactly the sound I was looking for and it did. Matter of fact, that setup sounds very much like the Corsa's I had on my 2002 C5 Vette. Anyway, I did a video of the install if I can get it to load up, but I'm very satisfied with the install, fit and finish and especially the sound. You can see my video at:
if I'm unable to load it here or, someone who knows how to move it from YouTube to here might do it for me. Incidentally, I intend to have it welded one day. My mechanic, Bill, has eye problems and can't weld anymore.

I could not load the video, after some time, it said a security token is missing?????

I have been thinking about doing this as well. I am not running any mufflers tho and am concerned about the sound level. Internet sound bites are tough to go by. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your original sound level? Then how would you rate it after the install?

With WOT it gets pretty loud, but not objectionable in my estimation. Cruising at 70 and up it sounds nearly stock and there is no hint of drone. Someone said the sound didn't start until 9 minutes, but I replayed the video and I have sound all the way through from first frame.

I can't say how loud it would be with muffler delete. Thanks for commenting.

sound works throughout the entire video. I posted at 9:25 you fire up the car for the first time post-install. this is sheerly for those that want a quick glimpse at the end results as opposed to watching the entire process

Ohhhh...I see what you mean. I thought maybe the entire video had no sound until then. That is correct: hear the after install sound at 9:20 or so.

Holy crap that sounds pretty loud with the stock mufflers ... I can't wait to hear mine with the same thing and the GMMP axle backs.

The engine seems to rev much quicker. The kooks did so much for power, it's hard to tell. I wish I had the bucks to do a dyno tune to see what kind of power she's puttin down. If it ever had the 365 or so to the ground as most seem to get, I'm guessing it's got to be 410 - 420 RWHP now. It picked up 3/10s in ET on the 1/8th mile track, from bone stock with a CAI, Kooks and a K&N CAI along with an SCT tuner and a Janetty custom tune. I used to like my car a lot, now I LOVE it!!! Bring on the Mustang 5.0..I've got something for you for sure!!! lol
