#1 at my dealer, no march allocation for me!

I ordered a blk 2ss/rs with orange rally stripes, the interior accent package and the polished wheels, i am #1 at my dealer, I talked to him today and he told me they got 1 march allocation and it will not be my car that gets built, he did not state why or anything about a constraint. I did recently drop the short throw as to not hold up the process, he said he submitted his orders and it was up to gm after that were his words... At first I was not concerned but after thinking it made me worry should i be ? could it have something to do with dropping the shifter or something i ordered? think it would do any good to call that customer support number camaro scotty posted? sorry if it was wrong to post this i know there alot of post on here, I'm just looking for a little advice or insight ...

If he got 1 March car, you ordered a V8, you removed your shifter, and your color isn't CGM, they gave your spot to someone else. Period.

Ran into my salesman today and of the 21 they had alloted only one got picked. It was IOM w/ IO interior 2SS/RS. Said they had to drop the shifter to get it in. Sounded like they picked it and then notified the dealership if they dropped the shifter it would go to production. He also said it was the #1 order but then he was probably obligated to tell me that since I'm #8.

OR the dealership has everyone at a #1 priority. They aren't lying when they said you were #1, probably everyone else who ordered from there is too.

Sounds like some dealer BS going on here. If you were #1 there then you should have gotten the first car (barring any constraints).

yeah i agree i know for sure i ordered first I'm just not really sure what i can do about it really, I'm not a very reasonable negotiator i have a temper so i prolly just wait and see what happens,

we'll i thought about waiting till they picked it to tell them to drop the shifter but i was afraid my dealer wouldn't inform me, and i'd get passed up because their worthless. I guess i got screwed either way. i know this is not a gm issue but this car has really been a real pain for me

You're not alone my friend. How many total Camaros did your dealer get? That answer should go a long way in allowing you to estimate when you'll get picked since you've apparently been bypassed for a friend, relative, or some fool paying stupid money over MSRP. In any case, don't let it discourage your purchase; it'll be well worth it in the end. Just my .02

"Out of 16 Orders from Gravel Chevrolet. Your vehicle is among 1 of only 2
that will be ready for this summer. Coooooollllllll."

Good for you ! Canada is apparently a different "bear" though from what I've seen- especially with reference to the V6s. My understanding is that they don't show up under constraints in Canada. I could be totally wrong- just relaying info i've read.

If what you say is true about your color and trim choices I am afraid everyone is right your dealer passed over yu for some reason or another. Thats pretty lame if you ask me. I would defintley speak with the GM amd inquire to exactly why and what for? You had your deposit in first, selected a constraint free ordering profile you should have been first. My #1 customer dropped his hurst shifter and his order was picked up. I feel bad for you and hope it all gets worked out. I pains me to see dealers not being upfront with there customers it makes us all look bad! If he was taking a higher markup deal he should have told ALL of you his posistion at least then it would have been up to you to leave a deposit or not.

my dealer got 8 total, and i was number 1, im really not terribly discouraged it'd just be nice to get my car to at least enjoy it a little this summer, and i do know for a fact a gentlemen that worked their ordered one as well i just found that out this morning so thats probably how i got screwed thanks for the input everyone
