I just got off the phone with the dealership where I ordered my Camaro and my saleman (seems to be very well informed with accurate information) told me their first sold car will be arriving March 16th. I asked him if this car was a demo car (for customers to look at, sit in, etc) and he said "no, its a sold customer car."

So what's going on? I keep hearing the first pre-ordered cars won't show up until April and production doesn't start until mid March. Then my local dealership tells me they're getting their first sold customer car on March 16th.

Maybe it's one of the 20 per day they are making right now?

Production starts March 16th. He's confused. They won't be seeing a car til April at least.

No, these are CTF cars. They won't go to dealers.

GM stated March 16th will be the first day of production for production vehicles. The vehicle with VIN#100001 should be produced on this day.

Depending on where you live it could take weeks to get to you. I think he is mistaken.

This is driving me crazy.
I called to verify my order. Then out of the blue he tell me their first sold car will be arriving on March 16th.

i just got a call from my dealer after bitching to him on the phone early this morning------------------they finaaly said they got one car for that febuary concenses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-------------------im second on their list buttt im the first ss/rs. i ordered an automatc so no constraint on the shifter-----rally yellow / black rally stripes--------------

the first car on their was an lt/v6 on constraint------that means i move to number 1. although i guess the dealership could put someone else thru---although they promised me i woouldnt lose my number 2 slot.---

now as far as i can understand---they have to put thet order in by march 5th--right???????????--i ask this cause my status level is still at 1100.

0R DO I HAVE THAT DATE WRONG AN IM JUST A LITTLE CONFUSED MESS OF CRAP

There has been a lot of talk on this topic. It seems strange some dealers are giving information out consistent with the first production date, not the pushed back production date.

If I were you I would request your dealer discount the car $250 for every week past the March 16th delivery date he has quoted you. If he is so sure he should go with it. I am sure he won't and after he says that he will most like do some more research.

Afterwards, you can repeat this phrase...My dealer is an idiot!
