Nightowl is the best option to go with. If you go to car shows you won't have to worry about people controlling your lights or vice versa, controlling it with your phone is so much more convenient than carrying around extra remotes in your car.

NightOwl control system is by far the best there is. For your halos it all depends on your model year. If you have a 14 or 15 the NightOwl halo kit will not work. The only Colorshifting halo kit for 14-15s would be the Oracle one. Now if you have a 10-13 the NightOwl halo kit will work. Again the NightOwl controller you can use with any companies L.E.D.s.
I run Oracle's Colorshift Halos, Diode Dynamics Multicolor L.E.D. Fog lights and some Diode Dynamics L.E.D. Strips controlled by a NightOwl System. Joe is great to work with. Tell him what you are looking to do and he can hook you up with exactly what you need.
Short vid of My NightOwl system controlling the Oracle Colorshift Rings and Diode Dynamics Fogs.

I know this might be a dumb question but Can you run the night owl set up with factory halos?

What year do you have?

If you have a 2014+ you will have to replace the PCB's in the halos with RGB ones from Oracle which requires baking the headlight. If you have the older model RS 2013 and down from what I hear its pretty east to do.

You will only replace the led with a rgb led provided with the night owl kit. The actual halo ring you see in your headlights will remain the same. There is no baking of headlights needed to do this method. However I baked mine to install demon eyes (smaller drl halos) inside my headlights and the baking and taking them apart really is not that big of deal. It looks hard and is kinda scary to do but once you do it and put them back together you realize it's not so bad. But it is nice to avoid doing them if your nervous about doing so. Oracle makes a sealant specifically for sealing headlights I used that and got to admit it worked great. Headlights been on and driven for amost 2 months now and haven't seen no signs of moisture in headlights.
