Rear Black Out? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys, i've tried a search, and probably wasn't using the correct words or something (im polish ok?! haha) but i was wondering if anyone used like a satin black vinyl to black out the rear (from quarter panel to quarter panel) just above the bowtie to the crease in the bumper? I'm sorry if i'm not explaining this right, but i have see kits that go around the tail lights, but not fully black out the entire space. Meaning, that there is still body color directly underneath the tail lights. Any help??

I haven't seen any kits that completely black out everything. You may have to get it painted.

I knew it'll be a custom job, I was just seeing if anyone went that far because I'm not really liking the narrow part of the trunk lid...ok ill photochop it or something

Yes there are vinyl kits to do this. Go to a graphic design shop that applies vinyl graphics to cars and they'll take car of you. I know a guy here in my town had his trunk blacked out with vinyl and it went quarter panel to quarter panel, under spoiler to bumper and in side the area where the tail lamps are. Ill post a link for you.

how much does something like that cost to install? I am debating between paint or vinyl. To paint the diffuser and front grill area like the LS7 camaro I was quoted $1000, which is a little pricey.

Looks Cool but I bet its a pain to put on.

I installed just the black sticker behind my SS emblem, I have 2 little black stickers that go between the tail-lights that I didn't put on yet, DO YOU THINK I SHOULD PUT THEM ON? I am also going to paint the chrome around my tail-lights black.
