Shimming Windage Tray on Stroker

We're in the process of installing my new 419 stroker and found that we either need to shim the windage tray or buy one the Mast Motorsports one. I called Mast twice today and was not able to reach them, so I'm thinking I'll just shim it.

Does anyone know what should be used for the shims? Just washers?

Also, does the pickup tube need to be modified at all?

Thanks!
