Just ordered my 2012 2LT RS with all the goodies! How did I do?

First of all, my local dealer is ****************** awesome. He let me order a 2012 with no money down, was upfront with me, and I will get all preferred pricing (active duty military) with an additional USAA discount when the car comes in. I haven't completed the transaction, so I can't completely vouch, but if you live in the North Texas, Oklahoma area, I think I've found a good dealer. He even mentioned a bi-annual Camaro get-together BBQ the dealership throws for everyone who has purchased from them featuring classic models and the new owners.

The total on all of this comes out (after all military discounts) to be about $30,370.82, a full $300 under invoice, not counting such things as possible dealer deliver fees, tax, title, etc.

So what did I order to run up a $30k tab? (All prices listed are preferred prices)

-Camaro 2LT (Victory Red) ($27,701)
-RS Package w/2LT ($1,221)
-Illuminated Footwells ($488)
-Satin Nickel Fuel Door ($155)
-Premium Carpeted Mats ($133)
-Cargo Mat ($120)
-Cargo Net ($49)
-Painted Engine Cover ($253)
-Engine Block Heater ($67)
-Automatic, 6-Speed ($1053; I know, I know, but it's the only way to get remote start... plus we all need to let go of the idea that all muscle cars must be manual...)

I feel like after my research I got a great price on an awesome V6 (honestly, I'm excited about seeing the performance on the new V6 and then being able to brag about just how much ooomph I can get out of a V6) and I'm even more excited about all the 2LT options and the add-ons I got (the premium mats, the HUD, the rear camera, the illuminated footwells).

A huge THANK YOU to avellanet.jr for releasing the 2012 Preferred Pricing List (everyone should have the experience of their dealer saying, 'I don't even have this; how did you get this?') and also BreezeRivera for making a thread about baby car seats and Camaros that I used to help my argument that a Camaro doesn't mean we can't have any more kids to my wife. Also all the other great commenters, posters, and thread makers on this awesome forum. I look forward to getting my status code, and in a couple of months joining the rest of the proud owners.

However, it's not too late to make changes, I'm sure. So if I've made any terrible mistakes, let me know now please, but I think I'm good to go. I will say that the interior is going to be black, and there are no stripes on purpose; I like the clean look of the red car.

So about 1,000 under sticker? I add up what you have listed and I get $31,240. You said that you are paying $30,370.

That certainly isn't a price to get excited about.

But as long as you are happy, that's all that matters

I misspoke on my prices for the line-up, but only slightly. I still got it, as far as I can tell, about $300 below *invoice*, and about $2000 below sticker.

For all those options mentioned above,

My Price = $30,490.73.

MSRP =$32,334.00

Invoice = $30,721.92

Absolutely a steal on an ordered 2012 before production even starts. But I only got those prices due to preferred pricing and USAA discounts.

TotallyDavis, CONGRATS, you did just fine!! and btw......Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Forget the premium capered mats, get Lloyd mats (They are so much nicer)! They will be right around the same price.

Also forget the foot well lights @ $488, you can do it yourself in about a 1/2 hour (I did mine this morning so I know) for around $50 using lighting strips from AAC, or ever cheaper using off brands.

Here are the Lloyd mats in my RS:
