Installed Pypebomb SGF53 today

I received my Pypes exhaust Wednesday and couldn't wait to have them installed today. Well I tried to install it, after 2 hours of struggling with it with no success I decided to throw it in the trunk and take it to the local muffler shop. The muffler shop worked on it for another 2 hours before they finally got a good fit. They end up having to cut the pipes several times and weld them in. I was disappointed that I had to pay for the install but it was worth it. The Pypes sound a lot better then the factory exhaust in my opinion.

Good job, they do sound good, nice low end punch without the "Euro" style "slap" some of the systems have. I've got the Flowmaster's myself....

Thanks for the compliments. I plan on using these for a couple of years (while my daughter is in college) then get headers, high flow cats and full exhaust. I would like to do a tune and cai intake when I have the extra money.

Is your car an LS3 or L99 ? Reason I am asking is I put this setup on my L99 and liked it alot, but with the huge resonater up front it didn't sound mean enough for me, so I had it cut out and added a Magnaflow truflow x pipe installed up front and holy cow, nice and nasty sound now, nice down low and cruising, but get on it and wow, sounds like it is going to eat someting up. I don't have a vid of it, but I think someone else in the exhaust vid section just posted his vid, he is the one I got the idea from, his vid.Have fun.

My car has the LS3 in it. I was thinking about an x pipe also. The one thing I am not crazy about is that it pops a good bit. Would a x pipe remedy this or would I need a tune.

I had the same problem having to "tweak" the factory hanger mounts then tack weld n clamp to fit and stay centered in the opening.

This was on my buddy's lift for an 1hr. Only cost me $50 tho.

I am going to have my buddy weld in j pipes in them cause the drone is bad in the 2k range.
It's going to be tight but we'll get them in there.

I just recently installed a VR intake and new "Strong" air meter and it pops a lot less.
Intake alone made a noticeable diff in throttle response and the AM was icing on the cake.

Oh yeah, it's a m6

Mine pops a lot also, but that is normal and me being an old school hotrodder, I love the sound, it is as posted on here before the computer leaning out the fuel mixture so as to not waste any fuel, I think the gys said you can tune it out..Please correct me if I am wrong.

Just got home from a 480 mile trip and the exhaust was not over bearing. I set the cruise at 70 mph and me and the wife was able to talk with the radio on with no drone. Just like wht73 said the drone is from 1800-2000 rpm. For the money $260 for the pypes and $40 for the install I think it was worth it.
