Talking Dropped over a second with bolt-ons!

Just wanted to post up the drag results from the performance mods that I made to my car. I need to give a big shout out to Texas Speed for making some kick ass products. Baseline the car was stock and went a 14.024 @ 101.41 in 1900 DA. I added a Texas Speed full exhaust, Texas Speed cold air kit, and an underdrive pulley. The car then ripped off an 12.85 @ 109.14 in 1705 DA. I can't say enough how much these parts really woke up my car.

Thanks for running before & after Terry! Glad to hear that $2000 in mods can drop a solid 1 second off a L99's ET!

Thanks Jason, I hope to run even lower when I can get to dyno the car and make some changes to the engine tune.

Was there any tuning?

Regardless - that looks like a GREAT package! Kudos!

The 12.85 is a great time. The 14.02 was terrible. The mods you made normally would have gotten you about 3 to 5 tents not 1.2 seconds. IMHO

I think the car should have went in the 13.70/80's before. I made about 6 runs all within .03 of each other. In my 2002 SS, I picked 3 tenths with a lid. I am sure this package was worth a second of the time. I have HP tuners, there has been no engine tuning to this point. I am going to the dyno later in the week. I made some changes to the trans tune and raised the rev limiter to 6400.

With a similar 60' time (1.98) stock, he would have easily run mid 13s.

But there's no dought his car is running good. He should be able to pull
mid 12s (12.4s - 12.5s) in cool weather this fall.

Thanks guys for the kind words.

I ran the car 6 times with the stock combo. Without the extra power, I don't believe the stock car could have ran a 1.98 60' time. The extra power help the car run.

I can't wait until the cooler weather gets here.

Hey OP.....

Did you use the system with or without the HF cats?

Has anyone see any performance or sound difference between the two systems?

I'm using the HF cats. I love the sound of this system. At the track a few other 2010 cars were there. One had a Kooks LT exhaust system and the other had a Stainless works LT system. Both of them liked the sound of the Texas Speed exhaust over their more expensive exhaust systems.

Does TSP use magnaflow mufflers in the exhaust? Nice times, do you have a tune yet?
