Car aside, welcome home. Glad your back safely.

Waiting a little while may help shake out some of the startup issues people are having so maybe not such a bad thing.

Welcome Home.......

so......$25k down won't get u the payment u want? what r ya after....like $100/month?

there are MSRP dealers as well as Military Discount dealers out there. look under the "MSRP dealers" thread.........no excuse for having to pay over MSRP. not that $2k is gonna help achieve the payment ya want.

u could get into a nice loaded 1SS and after ur down payment be financing $11500.00......that's like......$225/month (on the high side)

good luck!

here's the MSRP or below dealer thread, if you're interested in that.

waiting until december isn't a bad thing either, all the kinks will hopefully be worked out by then, and the more money you have saved, the better.

the thing is that they atually had one on the lot that was for sale. it was someones order that backed out of the deal. Was gonna snatch it up. the owner wouldnt budge on the price. I know how much money is in these cars for profit and it aint much. I was trying for like 250 a month and 25 k plus markup was not in my price range considering insurance is astronomical in germany.

Just join Penfed and finance the balance or maybe 5-10 grand of it. It would give you FICO points anyway.

Well, I'd guess that the dealer was trying to jip ya on top of the over MSRP thing. One guy backed out of a 1SS bumblebee clone-ish car and they're still selling it for MSRP or below depending on what you qualify for. $31,068.00 plus TTL was what they were asking on Friday and 25K would give you around 150/mo for maybe 3 years. By now it's probably gone but it goes to show ya that if you do yourself a little digging, you can find a lot-queen that will sell for MSRP. You just have to be quick on the draw as well in cases like those.

Keep looking, Man. You'll find one. And thank you for serving overseas, sir. *Salute*

Can't you go to the PX and order a new car for cheap? Maybe I saw that in some old war movie and they don't do it any more?
