Nothing really ever replaced the Firebird. The GTO was there, was a nice car, had a lot of power, but was advertised poorly nad well??? It had a couple of problems.

The new Camaro should come in RS, SS, and Z28 trim. Which order they will be in, we don't know for fact. But, we can speculate away!!! We don't know which and how many they will build first.

with these things set to go into production for the first run in october you would think there would be more info coming soon. 6 months to production so we can hope that by 3 months out we will start getting all the real info.

It seems like, from Father's input, that we'll get a lot better idea of what's going to be available around February or March '09 at Indy, in September. It's a sure bet there will be Z28 and SS available, and like was posted already, though it's unknown which will be considered a "top dog." RS hasn't been mentioned since the days of the LT1, so we'll all have to wait and see about that one.

Try searching for some questions. Most of what is posted is speculation, so keep that in mind. It's still fun though to read and actually feel the enthusiasm for this car from other members of this community. There are a lot of people who can't wait for this car to come out, including me

The GMPP options thread shows evidence of both SS and RS trims based on the badging, but there is no solid evidence of a Z28. Based on tradition, we all strongly believe a Z28 will exist.

This car won't be released until January or February (sorry can't remember which) of 2009 as a 2010 model sorry to set you back another few months...

I'm not so sure Z28 is a sure thing. Of course GM would be insane to not include it, but Fbodfather did drop some strong hints that we may not see one.

+3; I don't read all the posts unfortunately, but I don't recall ever reading anything along those lines.

I'm starting to get a little worried now.
