Are you going to tint the small window in the back and the rear window too?

Cool. I just got mine done today. I got 20% on all windows except the windshield. Gonna take mine Monday to get the cops to certify the windows and then I am going to get the windshield tinted 20% also.

Oh wow. 35% is the legal limit in MD but I have a medical reason, I got a note from my eye doctor saying my eyes were sensitive and he recommends darker than legal tint so I'll be able to get away with it. I think the front windshield still might not fly, which is why I'm getting the tint certified without it on there yet

If you want darker, you should see if you can get your doctor to sign something for you. I don't know if Nevada law allows for darker tint if you have a medical reason...

Check this site out: http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/NV/

Nevada does allow for "special tint" for medical reasons. You could get darker if you can get a doctor to say you need it.

A doctors note lets you break the law? lol... I don't know... Have you done this and verified it with the legal authorities? I mean it might help you get outta work or school.... But if I was a cop pulling you over and that was your excuse... I would likely ask if you or your doctor ever heard of sunglasses.

I have light sensitivity issues also, so I gotta wear shades. I'd be all for using it as an excuse to tint darker than allowed but... I just don't imagine the law would bend that easy when there are obvious alternatives that don't require any broken laws. UNLESS you had some like albino skin condition thing going on, then that might be a different story for keeping the UV rays away from your skin and such. But... yeah don't think doctors notes get you past the law in most places.

That's awesome if you actually have been able to use that though

Well its not really a factor with getting caught if its darker, they may let it slide since the windows are so short and it gives the impression that its dark even without extra tint.
I'm going for darker sides and hope for the best! our IS 300, Dodge truck and my service van are all illegal now too. The UV at this altitude is deadly so I still don't get the change in the law... just like when California did it in 86' and now I see limo dark all around Cali!

as long as your'e not acting shady in a shady neighborhood i dont see it as a problem. When i leved in florida i had limo tint on all my car and was never stopped or ticketed for it.I also alway rolled the windows all the down before the officer got to my window,or if i was just passing them on the road.

This looks perfect to me!

On a side note... this may sound stupid, but I don't know much about tinting, at least on the details side... I've seen people on here with 20%, 25%, 35%... what exactly does this mean? Does it mean 20% tinted? Or 20% of light can come through? If it's the latter, then would that mean the lower the % number, the darker the tint? Just curious.

Thanks!

The lower the number the darker the tint.
