Throttle body issues

2010 SS Camaro,402 LSX with all the goodies, running Maggie SC. Have tried both the TPS and Mick Williams larger throttle bodies and have had nothing but idle probs. Having to use stock body at this time,so costing me air flow/horsepower. TPS sent various size blades and did not help. It appears they have a new and improved TB,maybe made by someone else, and it's a POS. The older models they use to sell worked great. As for the Mitch Williams,it tends to start sucking close at WOT due to SC and boost. Suppose to work on this issue, but need contact info for Mitch Williams if anyone has it. Also looking for older TPS 102mm throttle body,NIB if possible. Also, any help on this issue or same experience, please chime in. Simply want larger working TB to maximize my engines potential. Currently 760RWHP/765 Torque. Feel I'm losing 35-50HP due to restricted stock body. Thanks

If your stock throttle body is working fine, take the electronic motor out of it and swap it into the *Nick Williams 102 throttle body.

Tune is good. My tuner took TPIS body and put it on two other cars(Caddy and Camaro) and it did the same thing. Mitch Williams was supposed to work on this issue as he has had others with same issues,no word as of late. I'm going to contact tuner and see if they might have already done the MW 102 electronics swap. Appreciate the input. The issue seems to be about quality in these TB's.

Hey just so you don't look like a dumb ass. Its a Nick Williams not Mitch or Mick. You have to change the tune for a larger TB so if all he is doing is taking off a NW or a TPIS and putting back on a stock on then he has not changed the tune for the 102 TB and therefore it will not idle.

No,tuning was done with each change. After reading thread in previous post it appears no solution for my issues anytime soon. Maggie was also sucking TB blade closed at WOT. TPIS was no help at all, sent three different TB's,all of them same problem. Seems as many cars in this category, a manufacturer could come up with a better product.

Thanks for the "lite" reading. Looks like I'm going to have to live with the stock TB for now. Or wish for a miracle.

Someone over seas just posted a 820hp whipple with the NW, so it can be done maybe tuning or maybe each TB is different. Mine at 680rwhp has not slammed shut 11psi.

Got an e-mail from N Williams saying he has a new TB,still working on it,making sure it resolves this issue. Time will tell. Talked to several shop tuners in the area today(Houston),and all agree that it's a comp prob and a aftermarket TB on some builds, usually those over 700+ RWHP. (SIGH).

Its actually the stock computer, the NW 102 works fine with aftermarket computers. I may be at indy with one of the new models if anyone has an issue with there NW102 while im there

Oh really?

Of course the NW 102 works fine with aftermarket computers, since none of them have TAC module that follows what's actually going on with the blade position.
