blacked out taillights

Where are people getting these, such as the versions on the camaro BLACK and the bumblebee model currently listed on the main page? is it just some type of tint that is being applied?

If you go to a tint place they usually have special tint they use to do it. I know my tint guy does it. That way you can pick how dark you want them. Wit those lens covers there is usually only one darkness choice.

My problem with those is that the company puts their logos on them in white and it sticks out like crazy. It almost defeats the purpose of blacking the lights out.

those are just vinyl stick on decals that can easily be peeled off for the totally black look.

That's fine but, why should I have to take it off If they want their name on my car, they can pay me Leave the logo off, if someone wanted to know where I got them I'd tell them

I don't like the fact that the GTS lenses are attached to your car with velcro. Not exactly my idea of a quality aftermarket mod...

Does anyone know of any better taillight blackouts than the GTS ones. Also, of any black replacement for the silver trim around the taillights?

go to a body shop. what my friends have done for me is. mix black with clear. scuff up the surface of the tail lights and spray the tails with it. start light and work to be darker. looks amazing and if done correctly dont even need to wet sand and buff but if not do a quick wet sand and buff and ****in looks amazing. done on 3 of my cars. and if you get pulled over to remove them just wet sand them enough till the cops are happy. had to do that once. cost me 40 bucs for 2 tail lights but that was a friend of mine and def took him almost 2 hours from start tofinish notn really worth it to him but it was for me

sandpaper, a can of night shades or testors, & some clear will do the same thing for a fraction of the cost
