CAI intake ? Help me decide.

Here is what i am thinking. Roto-Fab with Carbon Fiber Finish or CIA with SS Finish.

My concern about the Roto-Fab is that it will not get a good seal with the hood. My ZL1 hood comes up a little higher on the driver side compared to the passenger side . But i do like the look.

CIA- I do not like the look as much but it is sealed and has allot more insulating features to keep the air cool .

Any opinions or info please ?

You really can't go wrong.. We have made slightly more power with the Roto-Fab, but the CAI system is a solid performer.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

I decided on Rotofab because I'm also going to use their 4L blower coolant reservoir with it.

Both are very nice. I opted for the more finished look of the CAI, Inc.

Usually I use rotofab but new car came with a cai brand that I will be getting rid of soon. I dont like the way the maf sticks out the top almost touching the hood, dont want to mess with the lid when its time for washer fluid, the plexi is getting heat stress lines from being under the hot hood, the inlet tube is crappy rubber instead of hard plastic and the one crappy nut doesnt hold it in place when you jump on the gas. Do yourself a favor and get the roto fab. Way easier to maintain, makes more horsepower, stays where its put, has nice hard plastic tube and biggest filter out there

My Opinion is that it seals just fine! How many posts have you read that stated "my Roto-Fab doesn't seal properly against my hood"? I'll wait for your reply. You are assuming that it won't without having seen the finished result. You'll have a smile on your face after installing the unit, love the supercharger whine. Especially if you have owned any supercharged vehicles before. Stock emits no clear audible whine at all! The hood can be adjusted. Not sure if you have seen that thread?

I just read the capacity of the blower coolant in my manual. 2.4 quarts. I'm definitely getting the 4 liter added capacity reservoir. I know it works with the Rotofab since Rotofab makes it for Lingenfelter. You can also buy the reservoir direct from them.
