Music City Camaro club cruise to land between the lakes & Ft Donelson
What an absolutely perfect day we had today! Great friends, American Muscle, American Bison, Bald eagles, beautiful weather & scenery & great food. How can you top that? We even had friends drive up from Alabama to join us which was great! We started out in Clarksville, TN, cruised up the interstate to Barkley Lodge for a great country buffet lunch overlooking beautiful Lake Barkley.
After a nice meal we then cruised down "The Trace" through the Land Between the Lakes National Reserve between Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley. We stopped at the Bison Range but were only able to see the bison (buffalo) from a distance as they were laying down on a hillside a good distance from the viewing area. Everywhere we went we became the spectacle with folks wanting to take pictures of us (our Camaros that is). Then we finished the drive through the Trace & on to Ft Donelson where we got to see bald Eagles flying to the nest with a fish to feed the young eagles. The sound of them was as striking as the sight. They were hard to capture on film but I think one club member got some shots. Hopefully he will share them here. There were lots of great sights & photo ops. I'll post up my camera pics first then some from my I phone. Other club members add yours also. I wanna see them all!

Okay, I am going to have to take my time with the IPhone pics as I took over 100 of them! I will try my best to be selective (but they are all good).

and of course being here at "the Stone", I missed it(sucks being out of vacation days)......... Looks like a great day. Would have loved to been there with you all and really would loved to have seen that Bald Eagle.
