Can you powdercoat plastic? For example, can you powdercoat the taillight bezels or the bowtie's? Or will the baking process during powdercoating melt the plastic?

If im not mistaken powdercoating is done by using an electric charge so it wouldn't be possible to do it to plastic.

but you have to heat the powder to 400°F after spraying it

The plastic would melt

I have a powder coating setup. I bought it at Sears. You can set it up in a box. Use a metal base to clamp to and away you go. Chrome, clear, whatever color you can think of. It's a lot easier to do than you think.
