Powdercoating
To you guys that have had experience with powdercoating wheels/rims, what are some of the pros and cons. What are your thoughts of powdercoating the stock 1ss/rs wheels black? How long does it usually take and how much would it cost, just a general ballpark figure. I know I have a lot questions but need to get legitimate answers bc seriously thinking about powdercoating.Apologize for this repost, didn't pay attention to the thread posted earlier regarding powdercoating. powder coating is going to depend on your area, and if you have any/multiple shops around.. a good ball park is roughly $50-100 per wheel but there are a lot of "ifs" in there.. some shops will strip the wheel to bare metal, others wont, and yet others charge to do it. also depends on if take the wheel in with the tire on it, weights, etc...
Here in PHX a set of 15's was qouted to me at $65 a wheel. They where already bare metal. My advise is to just calling around and ask for quotes/terms

talk to the people that work at your local speed shops. They will surely know some good people, and may be able to tell you which ones to stay away from.
