I wanted know if changing the offset from 20x9 +40mm to 20x10+35mm would have any major difference? Also would this be something that can potentially void the warranty. Thanks in advance.

My take on this is, depending on what tire size and suspension mods you do up front could have an issue with a 10"x20".
There is a lot of testing on wheel and tire sizes as well as offsets happening right now. 35mm on the rear also is questionable without knowing what your intentions are on everything else. Just going with a 305x20 you should have no problems with a 35mm offset, and it will not void your warranty. |

As CGM2SSRS stated, as long as your not lowering your car, since you are putting a 1" wider wheel on the back, and only moving the offset in about a 1/4", you would be just fine, no problems at all.
