I believe ours is Iridium from the factory, and I wouldn't worry about them unless you start doing FI or have hit 100k miles.

I did hear that our factory plugs are actually pretty good. Unless you need them for specific reason such as to run nitrous or unless your current ones went bad I wouldn't worry about replacing them. However, I did come up with this tho while doing some research a while back. Check it out

I have OBX long tubes no CATs Pacesetter header back exhaust K&N CAI Trifecta tune and i have the most agressive ghost cam tune. I pulled the plugs and they dont look good. i could clean them but id rather replace them. The delcos i put in last time still have the warenty from KOI but if there is a better plug id rather run them. Some say its a waste but if i stick with the delcos i only had to buy them once. the rest of the replacements are free. lol I change my tranny and rear end every time i do the plugs and the fluid is nasty. lol

Anyway you could post a close up pic of what the plug look like? How many miles on the plugs and did you have any issues before?

when i changed the plugs last time i noticed less soot out the exhaust better fuel eco. and it just seemed to run better. I just got in from servicing the car and i didnt think of takin pix of the plugs. i took them out and cleaned them with some carb cleaner and a tooth brush. i got alot of soot off them. My tranny had 10k miles since it was rebuilt and wow you should have seen the fluid that came outta that! Same for the rear dif!

What about the E-3 spark plugs? I'm a new guy and have only seen the commercials. What can you guys tell me about them? They claim better HP and gas mileage.

I just put in NGK TR6s and they work well so far. The only question I have is their gap out of the box is about .003" less than the ac delcos GM had in. The OEMs measured about .037", but Ive heard they are gapped .040". It could just be a measurement inaccuracy with my 50 cent crappy gauge from O'Reilly, but the difference between the 2 plugs is apparent. Seems fine after driving it a couple times so Im not concerned just curious
