Tire Rack Snow Tires TPMS Sensors

In your opinion, is it worth the $268 for TPMS Sensors?

Are there any factors besides affordability and having the car monitor or not monitor tire pressure to consider?

Thanks!

Without the TPMS you always have a warning on your DIC screen. I don't think it's audible, just visual. If you can deal with irratation of the light and warning all the time while your driving, I guess there would be no other issues.

I had heard that too. I use the DIC to display my speed, so didn't want an annoying warning every time I started the car.

I thought it was well worth the price. So now I have two sets of tires with sensors in them and come spring the switch will be easy.

I think $268 is a bit steep for the all four sensors. $35 a piece seems about right to me.

Thanks for the info everyone. Sounds like they're definately worth having. For $268 they would come installed. If purchased from above (actually on sale for $26 each!) how much effort or money would it take to have them installed? (Sorry i'm ignorant and have never used a tire pressure monitor before)

IMO it was worth having them installed and mounted by Tirerack just to avoid the hassle of having to deal with them separate. So consider the cost from a complete, ready to mount package versus having to have the tires re-mounted to install the sensors if purchased separatly.
