Help!......Quiet Please

Can some of you give me your thoughts on what is the quietest performance exhaust systems for the V-6 Camaro's. I'm removing my MRT Version 2.0 and I'm looking for something quieter. I just returned from my local muffler shop and their not quite sure which system to use. Their telling me most manufactures are leaning more to the loud side with their systems. I sold my MRT's to a fellow member here so I need to do something. Thx in advance
Rich

Hi there, you can try my setup, it is definitely quieter than MRT ver 1.0 and 2.0.

Parts:
Magnaflow 6" Round Polished Stainless Steel (#14615)
Magnaflow 4" Rolled-Round-Angle Cut - double-wall resonated tips (#35177)

Why not just go back to stock. Maybe stock SS muffs.

My quick advice:

Look into the Magnaflow axle back or cat-back kits or the SOLO cat-back (make sure you view the correct videos since the exhausts for manual or automatic cars is different and sounds different as well)

Check out my V6 exhaust sticky thread at the top of the V6 forum for videos of these!

The GMPP Axle Back is real quiet , if you want I'll sell you mine for $350.00 ..
When you first start-up they are a little loud but when the engine settles down within 40-45 seconds it gets so quiet that you can not even tell if your car is running..

I'll send you a sound clip .

The SOLO cat-back isn't exactly quiet. It can be...if you keep your foot out of it... but if not, it can be loud! Just the way I wanted it.

$350 for GMPP? Wow, you must not have liked it at all. Wasn't the initial price more than double that?

To the OP... What is your goal in going with a quiet aftermarket system? Remove the ugly cans hanging under the rear? Get a better sound? You certainly aren't going to gain much performance-wise with any system when compared to stock. Maybe 5-10hp...maybe.

Hey, thanks everyone for your suggestions. I went with two larger Magnaflows and I've extremely happy with the results. No drown whatsoever, nice deep mellow sound, opens up nicely once you really put your foot into it and a nice mellow, smooth sound standing behind the car. As far as performance, sorry, feels stronger then when I had the MRT's on. Thanks again guys, apprecaite it..................Rich

Not, I even told them to be careful with them while removing them. You should have received a tracking number from UPS. They go out in the morning, thx Jose.......

congrats Rich, glad you've found the exhaust sound that you want.

Which Magnaflow muffers did you put on?
Can you post some video up? I wanna hear what your exhaust sounds like now.
