How many here have use one of them electric shocker ab belts?

How many here have use one of them electric shocker ab belts?

As much of a gimmick they seem to be,

Bruce Lee use to use that stuff way back in the day.

He could do 600push ups in 10 mins instead of an hr.

So has anyone here tried one and survived?

I’m unable to do traditional ab work, sit-ups, crunches…. and looking for an alternative.

There is also that ab-circle thing that suppose to be good, only cause it forces your body in the perfect position to work the abs right but its not miracle machine with out diet n other exercises.

I could get one for $50 with a connection trip, over the $200 folks pay off TV.

I have an Ab Circle. I got it at Modells, for around $150. The rollers wear out after very little use. They supposedly can be ordered from the company, but what a pain to have to keep calling (they won't do it through emails) to replace a part that should last longer than a month. If you read reviews about it, everyone says the same thing.

Also, it's hard on the knees, so if you have knee problems, it's going to be painful. It comes with pads to put in the knee cups but they really don't help much.

I use it occasionally when I want to change things up, but it gets boring quick and the movement is not as smooth as they show on the infomercial, especially hen the rollers start getting grooves in them. It also becomes very noisy then.

If I had saved the box, I would have returned it.

lot of the reviews online say the store ones are cheapier built, does it have grey or black rollers? [black ones are suppose to be better, folks also said they greased the bar its rides on.]

They also mention the knee thing, folks just get garden knee pads to use.

Also many said you need to go beyond the 3min thing, most were at 30+ min a day, in 15 min cycles.

The motion and position is what attracts me other wise id just do 100s of situps a day.

I have the gray rollers. Didn't know there were different ones. Hmm. But I heard people complain about them regardless of where they bought them.

If I had to do this for 30 min a day, I'd be bored out of my mind. LOL

I do like it for push ups though.

Most of the stuff you see on TV is garbage. I have used similar machines but for medical rehabwhen I was in college. Did it do much when I tore my knee...it is hard to say, but I will say that Bruce was that fit becuase he worked at it constantly....not becuase of the machine.

If you dont mind, why are you unable to do traditional ab exercises? You may get better answers if people understood your limits.

I also used a machine similar to that for physical therapy when I tore my shoulder. All it does is make your muscles twitch--not contract like they would during crunches.

Yea but in reality its how your body works, you send electricity to the muscle to make it work, we just have better rheostat control

------

My back don't like typical ab stuff, not bad enough for an operation or do I need drugs but I don't piss it off on purpose.

I can ride my bike for my legs.[that helpped my back allot]
Upper body takes care of itself working on crap,

I need some around the middle work

haha, i bought one of those stupid ab shocker things once. mostly cuz im lazy and dont like excersizing! i actually found it a ton more entertaining to put some of the gel on the top of my forearm then turn the setting all the way up. when the electric pulse would hit it would make my hard jerk upward and look like the claw of death! very entertaining especially when drunk!

Even if it made your abs ripped, still need diet and exercise to get rid of the body fat in order to have a visible 6/8 pack.
